DESCRIPTION:Notice of Annual General Meeting\nNotice is given that the Annual General Meeting of Lake Macquarie Business Limited will be held as follows: \nDate: Thursday\, 26 November 2026 \nTime: 5.45 pm for a 6.00 pm start \nVenue: Club Macquarie\, 458 Lake Road\, Argenton NSW 2284 \nThe AGM is a chance to look back on the year\, see how much progress has been made\, hear how the organisation is tracking\, and have your say on who leads the Board into the year ahead. We’d love to see as many members there as possible. \nBusiness of the meeting \n\nWelcome and apologies\nAcknowledgement of Country\nConfirmation of the minutes of the 2025 AGM\nBusiness arising – 2025\nReceiving and considering the financial report\, President and other directors’ reports and auditor’s report for the year ended [30 June 2026]\nElection of directors\n\nAppointment of the Returning Officer\nDeclaration of positions vacant\nElection of directors\n\n\nMeeting close\n\nMembers can access copies of the financial and directors’ report from 5 November 2026. \nNominations for the Board \nIf you’d like to stand for the Board\, or put someone forward\, nominations are now open. \nNominations must be in writing on the Board nomination form\, signed by at least two members\, and must reach the Secretary at jo@johanlon.com.au by 5pm Thursday 5 November 2026 (21 days before the AGM). \nClick here for the nomination form or contact Michael Huggett 0417 448507 or Jo Hanlon 0403 497 120 \nIf there are more nominations than the vacant positions\, an election will be held by ballot of members. We will email you the ballot details\, including the candidate list\, and post them on our website at least 14 days before the AGM\, on 12 November 2026. \nVoting and proxies \nBusiness and community members are each entitled to one vote\, in person or by proxy (honorary members don’t have voting rights). Members whose membership fees are more than three months in arrears on the day of the meeting are not entitled to vote\, so please check that your membership is up to date. \nIf your membership is held by a business\, please make sure we have written notice of your nominated representative before the meeting. If you can’t attend\, you can appoint a proxy using the enclosed proxy form. \nCompleted proxy forms must reach the Secretary at jo@johanlon.com.au by 6 pm\, Tuesday 24 November 2026 – at least 48 hours before the meeting.
